Burnt Peak Communications Site Solar Panels
The Forest Service has approved a Decision Memo and will ssue a special use permit to So. Cal Edison Co. (SCE) for construction, operation, and maintenance of a solar power plant at the Burnt Peak Communications Site. Construction is expected to begin in March 2025. The project footprint is less than half an acre. The overhead electrical line that previously serviced the site will be removed.
