Angeles National Forest Recreation Site Improvements
The USDA Forest Service, Angeles National Forest has approved mprovements to several developed recreation sites. Unused, abandoned buildings will be demolished and removed at the Chilao Campground, Wildwood Picnic Site and Oak Flat Camppground. Los Cantiles Picnic Site will be completely removed and decommissioned. Toilet buildings will be replaced at Horse Flat, Bandido, and Millard Campgrounds. All work occurs within existing developed sites. The final Decision Memo is available at this project website, and has been emailed to a list of stakeholders and interested parties. The document describes why the project is categorically excluded from additional analysis under the National Environmental Policy Act. There is also a review of any extraordinary circumstances and compliance with other applicable Federal laws.
