Littlerock Reservoir Sediment Removal Project
The US Dept. of Agriculture, Forest Service, and the Palmdale Water District are seeking public comment on a draft environmental review document. The document considers a proposal by PWD to build a concrete grade control structure to reduce future sedimentation, to haul approx. 1.2 million cubic yards of sediment from the reservoir to a disposal facility near Palmdale, and to maintain the water storage capacity at the Reservoir through annual removal of sediment.
