Angeles National Forest Defensible Space Project
The Forest Supervisor has made a decision to implement the proposed action for the Angeles National Forest Defensible Space Project. This project will authorize private property owners whose lands are adjacent to National Forest System lands to clear vegetation in accordance with State and County codes. The purpose is to reduce the risk of losing structures in a wildfire. The Forest Service will host an open house at the Angeles National Forest Headquarters, 701 North Santa Anita Avenue, Arcadia, CA, on January 20, 2016, from 6:30 to 8:30. The open house is for homeowners who wish to participate in the project. The final EA and Decision Notice are available at the links below.
