City of Los Angeles - Expansion of existing Mt. Lukens Communications Site
The proposal is to construct a new 109' tall 4-legged self supporting lattice tower adjacent to their buildings. The new tower will be utilized by the City and its public safety partners. This new tower is a significant part of the City's first responder interoperability network. It will be built at an existing communications site. The use is consistent with the Angeles National Forest LMP, which designated all existing communication sites for continued use, including new towers and equipment where appropriate. The proposal is also consistent with Appendix G of Part 3 of the LMP, which provides guidelines for protection of wildlife at communications sites. A detailed site plan is attached.
