Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. Line 63 Re-Route
The Santa Clara Mojave Rivers Ranger District has completed an Environmental Assessment and Decision Notice approving the Plains All-American Line 63 Re-route. This project will relocate a 14,000 foot segment of a 14-inch crude oil pipeline. The project would meet requirements of a District Court Consent Decree(2010) for transporting crude oil through the pipeline. The pipe will be installed by conventional trenching and horizontal drilling. Click on the project link for a project description with figures and maps. Project area is located north of Castaic, east of Interstate 5. Majority of the re-route will be within existing line 2000 ROW. Re-Route would replace the segment of Line 63 between MP 37.6 to 40.3
