General Information
Camp high in the clouds at Manker Flat Campground. This campground sits at 6,000-feet and offers 21 campsites open year-round. However, piped-water is turned off for the season with freezing temperatures. Each site comes with a spacious spot for all your family camping needs and includes a picnic table, fire ring, and vault toilets. It's located within a short drive to historic Mt. Baldy Schoolhouse and Visitor Center where visitors can discover the land's Native American roots.
Bears are very active in this area, so it is recommended that all campers use provided bear boxes, personal bear canisters, or seal all food as to eliminate scent.
Spring
Open 24 hours/day. Closed seasonally to vehicle traffic during winter.
Know Fire & Other Restrictions Before You Go!: These conditions can affect your entire trip. For example, Extreme and Critical fire use restrictions mean no campfires and no portable cooking systems/stoves. Bring cold food and no S'mores.
An Adventure Pass or America the Beautiful Pass may be necessary if visiting other locations during your visit to the Angeles National Forest.

Single Site: $20 per night
Additional Vehicle fee: $5 per vehicle per night
Day Use:
$20 per vehicle per day
Camping - Fee will increase to $20 per vehicle (8 people per site) per night on May 1, 2025. $5 per extra vehicle. 50% discounts given for Senior or Accessible America the Beautiful Pass holders. (Adventure Pass not accepted in-lieu of camping fee.)

Location: From Foothill Blvd. in Claremont, take Mills Ave. until it turns into Mt. Baldy Road. Drive 12 miles north on Mt. Baldy Rd. passed Mt. Baldy Village to the campground. Parking
Individuals who are camping, but parked outside of the campground due to the gate being closed- Display your camping pay stub on your dashboard in lieu of the Adventure or America the Beautiful Pass.

Day Hikes Info
Hikers have several options to begin their day's adventure including, Mt. Baldy Bowl trailhead. This trailhead can be combined with another major route, Devil's Backbone, to reach the summit (10,069') to form an impressive 11.3-mile loop hike. For the more casual hiker, a 1.4-mile round trip to the 75-foot San Antonio Falls is available.
