Partnerships

The Modoc National Forest has a long history of working with partners to accomplish important recreation, wildlife, fire, range and fisheries work on the Forest.

Partners over the years have included sister federal agencies, the state of California, sportsman groups, conservation organizations, universities, and private individuals.

Partnerships and volunteers increase the Modoc National Forest’s stewardship capacity by connecting people within communities and meeting natural resource goals. Today, collaboration has become essential to fulfilling the Forest Service mission of “Caring for the land and serving people".

Communities, landowners, corporations, non-profit organizations, and citizens are all critical components. They help us with the development of long-range management plans and the implementation of conservation, restoration and stewardship projects.
