Location Summary:
The 11,920 acre project area is located on the west slope of the southern Warner Mountains, east of US Highway 395, south of CA Highway 299, east of Likely, north of Jess Valley, and south of Payne Peak, around Bear Flat and Soup Springs. The project area is encompassed by the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) delineated in the 2022 Modoc Community Wildfire Protection Plan (Modoc CWPP).
