Scenic Drives
If you plan to see the forest from your car, be sure and stop by one of our Visitor Centers and pick up copies of our printed driving tours. Two National Scenic Byways traverse parts of the forest and 2 more loop tours are also described in detail on these free handouts. Points of interest and rest stops are marked on the tours. A Modoc National Forest map is the best choice for traveling in the forest. These maps are available at Forest Service Offices, some local outdoors stores and by mail from the USGS Store.
