Soup Springs Campground

Soup Springs Campground offers hikers and horsemen access to the central portion of the South Warner Wilderness. Corrals for horses are normally available near the equestrian trailhead away from the campsites.  Horses are not permitted in the campground.

The two trailheads meet up a short distance from the campground.

 

General Information

Facilities open as weather permits; usually early June to late October.

America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes and Golden Age and Golden Access passes are accepted for discounts on camping.  See the bulletin board at the entrance for details and prices.

Dogs on leash only. Please clean up after your dog. Camping limit 14 days. Horses are not permitted in the campground. The horse corrals are near the trailhead. Camping at the corrals is not permitted. Please use the developed campsites.

$15/single campsite

$5/additional vehicle

$15/single campsite per day with a maximum of 2 vehicles.

Directions

From Alturas go south on US Hwy 395 approximately 18 miles to Likely, CA. Turn east on County Road 64/Jess Valley Rd and go 3.2 miles to Blue Lake Road and West Warner Road. Turn left (northeast) on West Warner Road for 5 miles to Forest Road 40N24. Turn right on 40N24 and go 4.5 miles to the campground.
