Stanislaus National Forest to Temporarily Close Portions of FSR 1N04

SONORA, California, (August 23, 2025) – In an effort to repair portions of Forest Service Road 1N04 damaged during the atmospheric river events of 2023, the Stanislaus National Forest will close portions of the road beginning Sept 8, 2025 through November 30,2025.
The temporary order closes FSR 1N04 from the intersection of FSR 2N13 to the Clavey River Bridge (please see Exhibit A Map included). Repairs will be to two sites that experienced significant fill slope failures. Crews will construct mechanically stabilized earth walls to repair. While the project is expected to be completed by November 30, if work is completed before then, the Forest will look to terminate this order prior to that date.
