General Information

Eight campsites with fire rings and picnic tables.

The RV/Trailer maximum length is 60 feet.

No garbage service; pack it in, pack it out.

Each site has a bear box; please store food and anything else with an odor in the bear box.

The Black Springs OHV staging area located next to the campground is for day-use only.

Mid-May - Mid-October

The Forest Service operates the Black Springs OHV Campground and charges the following fees: New campsite fee prices, 2024 & 2025 $15 per night and fee raises to $20 per night in 2026.   The America the Beautiful, Interagency Senior and Access Passes are honored and receive 50% off the nightly rate. Only applicable to the single site the pass holder occupies.  Pass number must be written on fee envelope. The Interagency Annual and Volunteer passes do not provide any discounts on camping.

Directions

From the Calaveras Ranger Station in Hathway Pines, take Highway 4 east 19 miles and turn left on Black Springs Road (Forest Road 7N23). Campground is ½ mile on left.
