Located on the Calaveras Ranger District at the east end of Lake Alpine Recreation Area. Silver Valley has a timbered setting near several trailheads.

America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes and Golden Age/Golden Access passes accepted for reduced nightly camping fees in single sites.
