TeleLi puLaya (Black Oak) Campground

TeleLi puLaya Campground is a new campground, which opened in 2014 and provides spectacular views of the Stanislaus River Canyon. Turn left at the Beardsley Dam sign on Highway 108, 5 miles east of the Summit Ranger Station on Highway 108. There are a total of 22 sites, two are group sites. The main road and parking pads are paved. Restrooms are vault toilets. Each site has a table and metal fire ring. Potable water is available; each hydrant serves several sites. A fee is charged for extra vehicle parking. There is no hiking trails to the reservoir.

General Information

April - October

Check in: 2:00 p.m.; Check-out: 12:00 p.m.; Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

If you wish to use a stove, grill, or have a campfire it is recommended, but not required, that you get a campfire permit.  This FREE Permit can be obtained at preventwildfiresca.org or at any ranger station. Do not burn plastic or metal. Please leave the area in as good (or better) condition than you found it. 
The Interagency Senior and Interagency Access Passes are honored and provide a 50 percent discount on camping fees in the campground.  Pass number must be written on fee envelope or Pass must be shown to Host. The Interagency Annual and Volunteer passes do not provide any discounts on camping. Passes are not accepted for group or double sites

Camp in designated sites only. The number of people allowed in a single campsite is six. The maximum length of stay in any campground is 14 days. Please leave the area in as good (or better) condition than you found it. Often, locations destroyed by thoughtless campers must be closed to restore the area's natural health. Help ensure your favorite area remains open.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $30 per night
Double Site: $60 per night

The Forest Service operates the TeleLi puLaya Campground and charges the following fees: New campsite fee prices, 2024 & 2025 $25 per night and fee raises to $30 per night in 2026.   The America the Beautiful, Interagency Senior and Access Passes are honored and receive 50% off the nightly rate. Only applicable to the single site the pass holder occupies.  Pass number must be written on fee envelope. The Interagency Annual and Volunteer passes do not provide any discounts on camping.
