Alpine Bypass Trail
The Alpine Bypass Trail is an easy walk through forest and small meadows. It runs from Silvertip Campground to the Bee Gulch Trail, intersecting with it a half-mile from the Bee Gulch Trailhead. The trail crosses Highway 4 about .4 miles east of the intersection of State Route 207 (road to Bear Valley Ski Area). There is a small parking area on the south side of the highway where it crosses.

Directions
From the Calaveras Ranger Station in Hathaway Pines, California, travel 33 miles east on Highway 4. Trailhead is on Highway 4 about 2.5 miles east of Bear Valley, California and .4 miles east of the intersection of State Route 207 (road to Bear Valley Ski Area). There is a small parking area on the south side of the road.
Hikers may also start at Silvertip Campground or the Bee Gulch Trailhead. There is a parking area adjacent to Highway 4 at the Silvertip Campground entrance. For the Bee Gulch Trailhead, park at the Chickaree Day Use lot.
