Tryon Meadow Trailhead

This trail provides access to Milk Ranch Meadow, the southeastern side of Peep Sight Peak, Pacific Valley, and the northern end of Spicer Reservoir.

This trailhead accesses the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness; a wilderness permit is required for overnight visits to the wilderness.

Getting There

Directions

From the Calaveras Ranger Station in Hathaway Pines, California, head east on Highway 4 for about 46 miles. Turn right when you see the sign for Highland Lakes and follow that road (Highland Lakes Road) for about 4 miles; the trailhead parking entrance is on the right, just before Tryon Meadow. Small native surface parking area at the trailhead.

Accessible to all highway-legal vehicle types. Highland Lakes Road is paved for the first mile, then becomes a gravel road to the trailhead. The road may be rough in some spots.
