Public Use Fire Restrictions (PURs)

Fire Restrictions in Effect on the Deschutes National Forest.

When fuel moistures and weather conditions create increased wildfire potential in Central Oregon, public fire restrictions will be put in place on federal public lands, like the BLM and Forest Service managed lands. These fire restrictions help reduce the chance of human-caused wildfire starts.

Industrial Fire Precaution Levels (IFPLs)

Heavy equipment removes branches from a cut tree and places on a stack of logs.

Industrial Fire Precaution Levels (IFPLs) pertain to permitted activities such as timber sales, service contracts and other industrial activities.
