The 4,378-acre Boundary Road Fuels Reduction Project is located west of La Pine on the Deschutes National Forest north and south of Burgess Road. The Boundary Road Fuels Reduction Project will enhance forest resilience to insect and disease while reducing the wildfire risk the adjacent communities.

The 25,804-acre Cabin Butte Vegetation Management Project area, located just south of Bend on the Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District, is focused on improving forest resilience against large-scale disturbance events such as high-intensity wildfire, damaging insects and disease.
