2012 Forest Plan Monitoring Strategy

The 2012 Planning Rule (36 CFR 219.12(c)(1)) requires that all land management plan monitoring programs meet the requirements of the new rule for transition by May 9, 2016. The intent of the transition monitoring plans is to outline, consistent with the Pacific Northwest Regional direction, the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests and Crooked River National Grassland strategy to meet the planning rule transition requirements, and assist and guide the forest in adjusting their plan monitoring programs.  All references, guidance, and direction for this process are based on the 2012 Planning Rule.
