Sand Spring

An unseen spring trickles water to the fenced pond. Sagebrush shrubland borders the pond, and dry forest surrounds the shrubland. It's a long way to the next drink, so this site draws wildlife like a magnet.

Caution: 

• Cinder-surfaced roads leading here are often washboard-rippled and compel slow speed.
• Water from the pond is not suitable for human consumption, nor does the campground have water.
• Since there is little shelter to hide your presence, keep some distance from the water and control your pets.
