Campground: Cat Creek

This rustic campground offers 5 campsites in a wooded setting, offering shade and some privacy near Cat Creek and the Cispus River. The site is popular with OHV riders who access nearby multi-use trails.

Current Conditions
3/26/25: Currently off season, no fee - public use is permitted but all users are expected to practice Leave No Trace Principles. Pack out all trash and waste when leaving campground. When operating, there is a fee to camp and sites are First Come First Serve only. For further information, go to Recreation.gov or contact ExplorUS at 661-702-1420.

General Information

Mid May - Mid September 

Check in is 2:00 pm. Check out is 12:00 Noon. 

50% discount for single site camping fee with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age, or Golden Access.

  • 14-day stay limit
  • Maximum vehicle length 18' feet.
  • No riding ORVs in camp.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $20/night.
Additional Vehicle: $8/night.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY.
*The discount applies only to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass holder, not to any additional fee or campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass holder's party.*

Directions

From Randle, Washington travel south on State Highway 131 (Forest Roads 23 and 25). Veer left in 1 mile at the Y of Forest Road 23 and Forest Road 25. Continue to follow Forest Service Road 23 for 18.5 miles then turn left onto Forest Road 21. Follow Forest Road 21 for about 6 miles to Cat Creek Campground on the right.
