Campground: Tower Rock

Tower Rock Campground is named for the impressive pillar that looms nearby and offers semi-private sites shaded by a mix of cedar, Douglas fir, and maple. It is near the south bank of the Cispus River and the terrain is open and surrounded by hillsides.

The campground is in the Cispus Valley near the Cispus Environmental Learning Center and is easily accessed on paved Forest Roads 23 and 76. Anglers can cast for brook trout in the Cispus River.

Current Conditions

3/31/25: Campground is closed for the winter season. Walk in use is permitted but all users are expected to practice Leave No Trace Principles. When operating, there is a fee to camp. There are both reservable and first come first serve sites. Reservations can be made online at Recreation.gov. For further information, contact ExplorUS at 661-702-1420. Vehicles blocking the gate are subject to fines and/or towing at owner's expense.

Directions

From Randle, Washington travel south on State Highway 131 (Forest Roads 23 and 25). Veer left in 1 mile at the Y of Forest Road 23 and Forest Road 25. Continue to follow Forest Service Road 23 for 8.1 miles to the junction of Forest Road 28. Turn right on Forest Road 28 for 1.4 miles and turn right on Forest Road 76 . Follow Forest Road 76 for 1.5 miles and turn right on Forest Road 7600073 and arrive at the campground on your left in .5 miles.
