Trailhead: Tatoosh South

Provides access to the south end of the Tatoosh Trail #161 which enters the Tatoosh Wilderness.

Wilderness permits are required within the Tatoosh Wilderness. The self-issuing permits are free and are available at the trailhead.  

Wilderness Regulations apply.

Forest Road 5290 is gated and closed 3.1 miles below the trailhead from December 1st- April 1st for big game winter range. 

No fee.

Directions

From Packwood, WA travel north on Skate Creek Road for .8 miles and turn right onto Cannon Road. Follow Cannon Road for 4 miles. When the pavement ends, follow Forest Road 5290 for approximately 4 miles to the trailhead.

Parking space is limited at the trailhead.
