Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail Repair Upper Suiattle River
The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is seeking comment on the proposed Pacific Crest Trail Repair, Suiattle River Crossing project. The proposal would construct a new bridge for stock and hikers including 3.5 miles of new trail. The project is located in Snohomish County, in the Glacier Peak Wilderness near Canyon Creek. Major flooding in October 2003 destroyed the Skyline Bridge, where the PCT crossed over the Suiattle River. The trail has had no safe crossing since that washout.
