South Fork Skykomish Roads
On June 7, 2012, District Ranger Joe Neal signed the Decision Notice and Finding of No Significant Impact for the project. It will close 19 miles and decommission 18 miles of unneeded and environmentally high-risk roads on National Forest System lands within the South Fork Skykomish River and Miller-Foss watersheds. It will decommission another 1.5 miles on non-System road, and leave remaining roads open. No adverse comments were received during the pre-decisional review and comment period on the Environmental Assesssment, so the project can be implemented immediately upon publication of the legal notice in the Everett Herald on 6/11/12.
