Current Conditions
As of August 4, 2025 Baker Lake Trail is closed to stock until further notice due to Baker River, Silver Creek, and Hidden Creek bridges decking no longer being able to sustain heavy weight.

Provides access to: Baker River Trail 606

General Information

Open 24 hours/day

Recreation Passes honored for day use fee payment: Digital Passes, Northwest Forest Pass, and Interagency Recreation Passes. Washington State Discover Pass is not valid at US Fee Sites. 

Day Use:
$5 per vehicle per day
$30 per annual

Day use fee payment options: Scan & Pay on-site or display a valid Recreation Pass.  

*Suggestion: Download the recreation.gov app before your trip to have the ability to scan & pay digitally on-site.

Hours: OPEN Monday (all services provided); OPEN Tues-Fri (limited services: Maps, NW Forest Pass, Interagency Annual Pass Only). Hours 8 am - 12 pm; 1 pm - 4pm. Closed 12-1 for lunch. Closed on weekends. (Closed on federal holidays)

Directions

From the Mt. Baker Ranger District office in Sedro-Woolley, WA follow State Route 20 east for 16 miles to milepost 82. Turn left (north) on the Baker Lake Highway (Forest Service road 11). Continue on the Baker Lake Highway for 25.5 miles to the road's end at the trailhead and parking area.
