Open 24 hours/day

Recreation Passes honored for day use fee payment: Digital Passes, Northwest Forest Pass, and Interagency Recreation Passes. Washington State Discover Pass is not valid at US Fee Sites. 

Wilderness regulations apply within Mt. Baker Wilderness, including a maximum party size of 12.

Day Use:
$5 per vehicle per day
$30 per annual

Day use fee payment options: Scan & Pay on-site or display a valid Recreation Pass.  *Suggestion: Download the recreation.gov app before your trip to have the ability to scan & pay digitally on-site.

Hours: This U.S. Department of Agriculture office is currently closed due to the lapse in Federal Government funding. The office will reopen once Congress restores funding.

Directions

From the  Glacier Public Service Center in Glacier, WA travel east on SR 542 for 12.5 miles. Turn left on Hannegan Pass Road (Forest Service road 32). Follow Service road 32 for 2.1 miles to the trailhead. There are two parking areas, one on the left (north) side of the road just before the trailhead, and one near the vault toilet on the right (south) side of the road just after the trailhead.
