Lower Sandy Campground

Lower Sandy is a beautiful first-come, first-serve campground on the shore of Baker Lake. It is accessed by a two-mile access road that is open seasonally from mid April through November. It is a small campground, with 12 campsites (one of which is a double). There is no camp host on-site, but the campground is checked regularly by hosts from nearby campgrounds.

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Check in: 2:00 p.m.; Check-out: 12:00 p.m.

All developed site regulations apply. Dogs must be on leash, campfires in developed rings only, quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Fireworks are prohibited. Stay limit is 14 days. 

Camping: 50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age, or Golden Access pass

Single site: $27 per night
Extra vehicle: $12 per vehicle per night

Fee payment options: There is a fee station on-site for cash payments between May and September. Exact change is needed; no credit card payments accepted.

Hours: OPEN Monday (all services provided); OPEN Tues-Fri (limited services: Maps, NW Forest Pass, Interagency Annual Pass Only). Hours 8 am - 12 pm; 1 pm - 4pm. Closed 12-1 for lunch. Closed on weekends. (Closed on federal holidays)

Directions

Located about 34 miles northeast of Sedro-Wooley. From Sedro-Wooley, travel east on State Route 20 for about 17 miles. Turn left onto Baker Lake Road and travel for another 16 miles, then turn left onto Forest Road 1122.
