Maps for Mobile Devices
The Avenza Maps mobile app makes it easy to download forest maps onto your mobile device. Avenza maps are georeferenced so that you can find your location on the downloaded map, even without Wi-Fi or network connectivity. Your location is pinpointed on the map thanks to your cell phone's GPS. Make sure you download the maps you need at home before visiting.
Safety Reminder
Never count on your cell phone map as the only navigation device out in the Forest, especially in the backcountry. Having a reliable way to navigate is one of the 10 essentials to enjoy the outdoors safely. We strongly encourage you to carry a compass and physical map. Learn how to use a map and compass.
