Bottle Prairie Trailhead

This trailhead is located adjacent to Badger Creek Wilderness and has parking for 8 vehicles.

Provides access to the 44 Trails System: Bottle Prairie Trail #455, Eightmile Loop Trail #496, and Lookout Mountain Trail #450

Getting There

Directions

From Sandy, OR: From the ARCO gas station, drive almost 31 miles on Highway 26 to the junction with Highway 35. Take the exit to Highway 35 on your right and drive for 13.7 miles. Turn right onto paved Forest Road (FR) 44 toward Dufur. After 5.3 miles, FR 44 makes a sharp right for Camp Baldwin and Dufur at the junction with FR 1720. Continue driving on FR 44 for another 2.3 miles and turn left onto FR 4400-120. Drive 0.1 mile to park at the trailhead; there will be an infoboard.

From Hood River, OR: Drive on Interstate 84 east and take Exit 64 toward White Salmon & Government Camp. After the exit, turn right on Button Bridge Road for Government Camp & Highway 35. Continue driving on Highway 35 toward Parkdale. Drive 26 miles and turn left onto Forest Road (FR) 44 toward Camp Baldwin and Dufur. After 5.3 miles, FR 44 makes a sharp right for Camp Baldwin and Dufur at the junction with FR 1720. Continue driving on FR 44 for another 2.3 miles and turn left onto FR 4400-120. Drive 0.1 mile to park at the trailhead; there will be an infoboard.
