Cloud Cap Saddle Campground & Day Use
Cloud Cap Saddle is a small campground and the location of Cloud Cap Trailhead, which provides access to Timberline Trail and Tilly Jane Trail from the north.
Cloud Cap Saddle Campground is subject to early closure and late opening due to snow.
The Historic Cloud Cap Inn is just up the road from the campground and is now used by search and rescue teams on the mountain. Check out the Hood River Crag Rats for more information.

This site is operated by a concessionaire, Lost Lake Resort.
Open 24 hours/day
- Camping: 50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age or Golden Access.
- Day Use: The Annual Northwest Forest Pass may be used as a form of fee payment.
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $20 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per night
Day Use:
$10 per vehicle per day

Directions
From Hood River, OR - Travel approximately 13.1 miles south on Oregon Hwy 35 and turn right (east) onto Cooper Spur Road, approximately 0.3 miles south of milepost 74. Follow Cooper Spur Road 2.4 miles to Cloud Cap Road (Forest Road 3512) and turn left (southeast). Follow Cloud Cap Road (Forest Road 3512) approximately 9.8 miles to the campground.
Travel Considerations
Cloud Cap Road/Forest Road 3512 is narrow, winding, and may require a high-clearance or four-wheel drive vehicle.
