Lower Hunchback Trailhead

The Lower Hunchback Trailhead, located in the parking lot at the Zigzag Ranger Station, provides access to the west end of the Hunchback Trail into the middle of the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness Area. This trail traverses the forested Hunchback Ridge which has several rocky viewpoints along the route.

Directions

To reach the north end of the trail from Sandy, OR - travel 17.5 miles east of  on US Hwy 26.  Turn right (south) into Zigzag Ranger Station and park at the east end of the lot.  The Trailhead is on the south side of the lot.
