Trails are generally open all year unless there is a washout or fallen trees that block the trail. For current trail conditions, please contact the ranger station of the district you are looking to explore or visit our trails pages for details.

Most forest roads are not maintained for winter travel and do not receive snow removal. This includes the road to Marys Peak and Mt. Hebo.

The Siuslaw National Forest spans a large area. Look for the National Weather Service report closest to your planned activity. Additional coastal weather information is available from the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, Oregon including sunrise-sunset tables, satellite images, buoy reports, and wave forecasts.
