Bedrock Fire

On July 22, 2023, firefighters responded to the Bedrock Fire on the Willamette National Forest near Bedrock Campground. Rapid fire growth and proximity to nearby cities caused persistent air impacts across central Oregon and into the Klamath Falls area. Approximately 38 residences were under level 3 evacuations.

The total area of the fire was approximately 31,590 acres, including areas that were already burned as part of the Gales Creek Fire in 2021, the Jones Fire in 2017, and the Clark Fire in 2003.
