Firefighters responded to the lightning-caused Foley Ridge Fire on Sept. 6, 2025. The fire was located on the McKenzie River Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest on a cliff visible from Oregon Highway 242 (McKenzie Highway) approximately seven miles east of McKenzie Bridge. The total area of the fire was approximately 497 acres.
