The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest (CNNF) invites you to share your thoughts regarding the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center Renewable Energy Improvement Project in Bayfield County, Wisconsin. The Center was selected for a Renewable Energy Improvement Project. The purpose of this project is to create a more sustainable and economical facility. The majority of the project is focused on improving and updating the building (e.g. insulation, lighting, siding, ventilation, etc.). The proposal also includes the installation of 868 solar panels at the Centers administrative site. The attached photovoltaic proposal shows illustrations of the types of panels proposed for use and the two areas under consideration for installation.
