Mex-i-mine Falls

Meximinee Falls is a beautiful waterfalls that has easy access.  This Waterfalls was the location for the print "Spirit of the Ottawa".  The trail is a short, fairly easy trail that follows the river for a good view of the falls. Total length round trip is approximately 1/4 mile. The trail is found at Burned Dam Campgrounds, approximately 7 miles northwest of Watersmeet.

This short trail takes you from Burnt Damm Campground down to the Middle Branch of the Ontonagon River and this historic waterfalls.  Depicted in the artist print "The Spirit of the Ottawa" by Roberta Barg this waterfall is a must see.
