The Custer Gallatin National Forest affords numerous opportunities for ice climbing on spectacular frozen waterfalls. Much of this climbing can be found just south of Bozeman in Hyalite Canyon which is an internationally recognized ice climbing venue. Many local resources are available for visiting climbers.
