South Plateau Landscape Area Treatment Project
Updates for the South Plateau Landscape Area Treatment Project. The Project is located south and west of West Yellowstone, Montana and includes forest resilience and fuels reduction treatments, and access designation changes on Forest System roads. The project was authorized with a Decision Notice in 2023. Annual updates will be posted for the duration of project implementation.

Riley Pass Mine Clean-up
An Uranium Mine Clean-up site from the 1950's, including maps, newsletters and documents. Approximately 250 acres of disturbed highwall, pit floor, and spoils areas are identified and are being reclaimed. Hazards within the Riley Pass area include high walls, pit floor, unstable overburden, elevated radioactive materials, and heavy metals.
Bozeman Municipal Watershed Project
The Bozeman Municipal Watershed Fuels Reduction Project (BMW) is a joint effort between the City of Bozeman and Custer Gallatin National Forest which aims to reduce forest fuel loads and also maintain a high-quality, predictable water supply for Bozeman residents.
