A Partial Forest Closure Order is in effect on the Osceola National Forest until Dec 31, 2024 (unless rescinded sooner) for removal of hurricane damage safety hazards. Several Ocala National Forest campsites, day-use areas and trails also remain temporarily closed for hurricane damage recovery efforts. Please check the individual operating status (via this official website and Recreation.gov) for each Forest site, trail and activity you are interested in, prior to your visit. We appreciate your patience as we work diligently to safely restore and reopen all our beautiful Forest destinations to visitors.
