Carlsbad

Carlsbad Field Office

  • Service First Agencies: BLM Pecos District Office and FWS.
  • Activities: Collocation; Shared resources.
  • Additional Information: A FWS employee provided under the Energy Pilot Program is housed in a BLM office. The BLM provides office space, information technology and GIS support and partially funds the position to assist with the workloads. This also enables our customers to have access to FWS staff for threatened and endangered species questions and guidance.

Cuba

Cuba Ranger District

  • Activities: Firewood permit issuance.

Farmington

Farmington Field Office

  • Additional Information: Arrangement is the same as the Carlsbad Field Office.

Grants

Northwest New Mexico Visitors Center

  • Service First Agencies: BLM, NPS and FS.
  • Activities: Collocation; Joint Visitor Center.

  • Additional Information: An agreement is in place to document participation by BLM, NPS and FS. Each agency provides an employee for 40 hours a week to keep it open 7 days a week,and funding for one maintenance worker and one seasonal worker. Additionally every year management of the center is rotated between agencies.

Smokey Circle Administrative Site

Las Cruces

Las Cruces District Office

  • Service First Agencies: BLM Las Cruces District Office and FWS.
  • Activities: Collocation.
  • Additional Information: DOI Appraiser and FWS Biologist are collocated for better coordination of Section 7 consultation for the Endangered Species Act.

Roswell

Roswell Field Office

Silver City

Silver City Interagency Dispatch Center

  • Service First Agencies: BLM Las Cruces District Office and FS Gila National Forest.

  • Additional Information: BLM Dispatcher works in FS dispatch office and supports both agencies' programs. Duties include plan development and implementation in many aspects of the Fire Program.
