On Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. ET, the United States Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry will consider the nomination of Thomas J. Vilsack, of Iowa, to be Secretary of Agriculture.

We encourage USDA employees to watch Mr. Vilsack present his viewpoints, priorities and objectives for USDA should he be confirmed as the 32nd United States Secretary of Agriculture.

Vilsack served as the 30th Secretary of Agriculture under the Obama administration. Prior to that, he was in the Iowa Senate before being elected to two terms as its governor.
