RMRS to co-host Science for Managers webinar on forest regeneration in fire-adapted landscapes

COLORADO—You are invited to join the Rocky Mountain Research Station and the Southwest Ecological Restoration Institutes to learn about forest regeneration and reforestation in western fire-adapted forests. This new Science for Managers webinar will take place on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 10:00-11:30am MDT. Short, lightning talk-style presentations by researchers will be followed by a Q&A and discussion with managers.

Researchers will highlight the newest science about regeneration following fire and forest treatments (including thinning and prescribed fire) and will share considerations for replanting, including the targeted plant concept, nursery stock and a new decision support tool for managers.
