Forest Service Manual 2700 – Zero Code (Special Uses Management)
Chapter - Zero Code

The text of Forest Service Manual, section 2703.2, was updated to make it consistent with Section 368 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 to facilitate energy transmission. This revision is in alignment with Secretary Vilsack’s priority for open and competitive markets by allowing the use of Section 368 energy corridors (Energy Policy Act of 2005) by energy transmission companies, even if the use can be reasonably accommodated off National Forest System lands.
