WASHINGTON, DC—Please join us in supporting Feds Feed Families, the food drive that encourages employees from all federal departments and agencies to give in-kind contributions—food, services and time—to food banks and pantries of their choice. The drive this year is virtual due to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis. Together, we will make it a great success.

The 2022 campaign highlights the need for giving during the summer months that can be challenging for the nearly 30 million children who receive free and reduced-price meals during the school year. USDA summer meal programs help fill the gap, but the need remains great. Employees can help food pantries and food banks stay stocked during the summer, when there is traditionally a decrease in donations and an increase in need.

As the department that supports nutrition assistance for those in need, USDA seeks to connect federal employees across the government with Feds Feed Families. By coming together, we can make a difference. However you give, your participation helps support healthy eating for families and communities in need.

Here are ways to get involved:

  1. Become a Feds Feed Families champion
  2. Find a food pantry or food bank and donate online or in person
  3. Volunteer on your own time through plant a row, field gleaning and warehouse gleaning
  4. Host or attend a virtual food drive event
  5. Consider donating to a food bank or food pantry through the Combined Federal Campaign September-January giving season

Where to donate:

Find a food bank or pantry of your choosing through the Feds Feed Families hub or on your own. Although Feds Feed Families does not suggest or recommend specific organizations for donations, it does provide links to external sites to help you get started.
