USDA: CFC cause of the week
Dear USDA Employees:
Each fall, we have the opportunity to join together in support of the Combined Federal Campaign, which promotes making a difference in our communities, our nation and around the world. The CFC is an employee-focused, effective way to assist others through financial donations or volunteering your time. Every little bit counts. Last year, USDA employees contributed close to $1.5 million. Each donation can bring positive change, such as providing access to emergency housing and shelter, nutritious meals for those in need, and supporting relief and recovery efforts in the wake of natural disasters.
This week’s CFC cause is Disaster & Crisis Response. Each year, CFC charities step in to help people around the world affected by natural disasters. On average, it takes communities at least 18 months to recover from major disasters and your support is critical for local charities to be able to provide impacted communities with immediate support for those who need it most.
If you have pledged before, thank you. To renew your gift, you can use the online giving platform. If you are new to the CFC, I invite you to visit GiveCFC.org to learn how you can join the community of changemakers. Together, we can make a lasting difference for communities and people in need across the country.
Sincerely,
Jewel Bronaugh
Deputy Secretary
