The Master Agreement between the Forest Service and the National Federation of Federal Employees expired on Sept. 12, 2022. The current agreement is still in full force and effect until a new agreement is reached. Both parties have agreed to renegotiate specific articles within the agreement and will begin negotiations in January 2023.

What You Need to Do

This only affects bargaining unit employees represented by the NFFE.

• Visit the HRM Labor Relations webpage and review the information under "Who Can Unions Represent" [internal link] to figure out if you're a bargaining unit employee represented by NFFE.

• If so, continue to follow the current Master Agreement [internal link], which you can also find on the HRM Labor Relations webpage [internal link].
