    Pursuant to 36 CFR Section 261.50 (a) the following acts are prohibited on the Gallatin National Forest, Hebgen Lake Ranger District:

     

    Discharging a firearm, air rifle, or gas gun in the area of the Boundary Ski Trail as shown on attached map.

Order No. 01-11-07-13-01 FOREST ORDER

Occupancy and Use

 

Pursuant to 36 CFR Section 261.50 (a) the following acts are prohibited on the Gallatin National Forest, Hebgen Lake Ranger District:

 

Discharging a firearm, air rifle, or gas gun in the area of the Boundary Ski Trail as shown on attached map. (Attachment A) (36 CFR 261.SS(m))

 

 

Pursuant to 36 CFR Section 261.50 (e) the following persons are exempt from the Order:

 

  1. Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.

 

  1. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

 

These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

 

These prohibitions shall take effect at 0001 hours on Thursday December 20, 2012 and remain in effect until rescinded.

Violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or both.
