Located in southeastern Montana, Ashland Ranger District covers just over one-half million acres and contains the largest contiguous block of Federal land in eastern Montana. Along with topography from rolling grasslands to steep rock outcroppings, the District offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities including hunting, fishing, horseback riding, OHV riding, hiking, camping, mountain biking and cross-country skiing.
